Google update has raised questions

By now, most of the webmasters have been aware of the fate of their website in terms of Page Rank Value. This time, we have noticed that Google has taken 2 to 3 complete days to make the PRV stable after a lot of initial fluctuations.

The April 2008 update has left a food for thought for all of us. Some criteria like domain name, age of domain, hosting and obviously content stand as before, but the question is about the worth of links in Page Rank Value.

When we question about the validity of worth of links in determining the PRV, we need to be highly cautious as Linking is NOT only a prevailing techniques, but we have noticed it’s contribution towards PRV many times. It is not only the emotion or a generic tendency of sticking to the old concept in spite of sea change in the market scenario, it is a question, as it is against some basic principles of SEO.

Most of the webmaster still admits that one inbound link works as one positive vote to the website and in real life, we feel, the more the chance of links, the more the chance of getting traffic, based on the simple theory of probability.

But the time has surely come, when we need to question about the success of the prevailing techniques in SEO and the recent update may be a signal of some phenomenal change in the recent future.
